“Roltom” is the new name of "Tomsk Bearings" — the biggest bearing producer in Russia. Company was planning to go international and needed a full rebranding.

The logo combines a number of factual, cultural and esthetical references — being based on a form of a bearing, it is rimmesd with classical Tomsk wooden patterns, an architectual symbol of the city.

Together with soft gradients the logo reminds of sun and snow, a common combination for this far northern city. However, a contrast black background turns wooden carving into a lightbox, changing the emotional essence towards modernity and technology.
